Hi Mimi!
Hope you are well! I took a break from the boards here for awhile as I didn't go anywhere much last year. As LoveItaly said, I am going to Australia for a little over a week, and am back doing some research. I was surprised to see this thread back up...I forgot about all the stuff that sits in fodors' archives! This Ireland trip still feels so recent.
It is nice to see you here, as always. I hope you are still enjoying traveling and your beloved France.

ItalianChauffer passed the link to this thread, in a thread where I was posting questions about my trip to Ireland in April. I just finally got to reading it all and all I can say is that I'm totally looking forward to my trip!!!
I can totally relate to Mina. I'm also travelling alone, single female in her 20s (also a "minority", not Korean though)...lol. Originally I had decided to take a paddywagon tour but now I'm driving myself and reading Mina's posts was insiring and eased my mind.
Loved your stories Mina, thanks for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed it Oceania. There were more stores I wrote about my Ireland trip, but I never posted them here. Suffice it to say, you will have lovely adventure and will adore Ireland.
Scarlett, good to see you. BTW, your eggplant recipe is still a hit in our house.

I have never read this report. Thanks for topping it. I was laughing out loud when I read it.
I also have Mina's concerns about driving in Ireland, but will never be able to describe them as well as she does. Roundabouts or freak-you-outs as she called them--loved that one.

Oh this is the best! No wonder I kept seeing people asking "Where is Mina?" You are an amazing writer, I couldn't stop laughing! Now I know why you've been so missed! Congratulations on the many wonderful changes that occurred in the time you were "missing" from the travel board.
I spent one wonderful summer in my early 20s traveling alone through Ireland and Scotland, and boy, does this bring up (very long ago) memories.

I have been to the cliffs four times and wish I had known about the hats coming back at you! I was there last week and someone took a dive off the cliffs. Very sad. The coasties were searching for the body. I loved your report!
