The Charles Stewart

I am considering staying at the Charles Stewart guest house on Parnell Square, just off O'Connell Street in Dublin in October . Very reasonable, but not sure of the area. Can anyone advise me on the house and the area it is in?

I stayed one block north of the Charles Stewart last Feb. The area is fine, even after returning from the Temple Bar areas in the wee hours. Lots of foot traffic up O'Connell Street all night so it should be ok.

When do you/did you depart? We stayed in the Charles Stewart several years ago and found it to be fine. Agree that O'Connell St. an OK area. Location close to Writer's Museum. We went to theatre across the street at Gate and also down the way at Abbey.

We also walked across the bridge to Temple Sq. though a bit of a hike.

We're there about October 20, and have booked the Charles Stewart. I'm from Blue Springs, MO myself.

Well, hi neighbor! Have a good trip.

You'll find the guest house does have stairs, breakfast down in basement, rooms not that roomy, but reasonable price. Are you traveling on your own and what are you planning to see in Dublin?

My wife and I are touring Scotland and then Ireland. Dublin is the final stop, so may be worn out by then. Planning on seeing Trinity, Guiness or Jameson, and some other places I have forgotten at present. We are there two days; have any recommendations for cheap eats, good sites to see, or good pubs?
