I'm not sure cats are that good at expressing their thoughts in a suitably succinct and helpful but humorous form. Imagine the thread titles. Come to think of it, imagine what a cat would do when confronted with the idea of a thread....

CMT - I never said Flanneruk would be cruel to cats, so please don't get yourself in a dander and jump to conclusions. Personally, I wouldn't want any of my animals near someone who had such negative feelings about them. Animals, especially cats pick up on those things.

I happen to be a protective animal parent and do all that I can to make their lives as pleasant as possible. Nothing wrong with that.

PatrickLondon~
Imagine the Solo Cats forum Rants and Raves:
Rant: litter is still unchanged
Rave: objects in litter fun to play hockey with
Rant: humans expect me to use Scratching Post??
Rave: humans left for weekend, friends coming over, new chair to try out for scratching post.

Are you sure the cat stayed out of a carrier for the entire flight? The caption I read for that photo of him looking out the window suggested it was a publicity shot taken before the plane left.
I'm not surprised he preferred French cat food. The French make EXCELLENT pet food, particularly the Royal Canin brand (despite its name, they make cat and dog food). We feed our cocker Royal Canin; she loves it and it is very good for her coat, skin, digestive system, etc.

As for FlUK, too bad a British cat didn't get his tongue (or fingers, in this case).

I thought the cat was kept on his lap but maybe the carrier is under the seat in front.

BTILKE - Do they sell Royal Canin for cats in the U.S. I have never heard of that brand.

Madison, go to www.royalcanin.us and click through Products for info and to find a retailer.

Also, you can try this link, it may take you directly to their feline nutrition section:
http://www.feline-nutrition.com/

I highly, highly recommend this brand for both dogs and cats. You can read some testimonials on their web site and have to say, I tend to agree with them.

Powell's Bookstore in Portland OR has an online newsletter. With each newsletter there is a new diary entry of the adventures of 'Fup the Cat'. This has been ongoing for years.

Here is an (English) link describing the company's headquarters, etc.. They are located about halfway between Montpellier and Nimes in the south of France.

Muggles need Cats! Some time ago a German program/pogrom reduced its cat population. Rats and mice hordes exploded. Germans are now importing cats. Cats are cleaner than Muggles. Chances are they will be here long after the humans are extinct.
