TGV Paris CDG Airport

My SwissAir flight on June 23 lands at Terminal 2B at CDG airport in Paris. Can anyone help me with directions to get to the TGV train station in Terminal 2C? My flight lands at 12:00 (noon) I'd like to make reservations on the 2:05 p.m. train. Will I have enough time to pick up my luggage, go through customs, and get to the train on-time for departure???

Hi L,

You have a fairly small chance of making the 2:05.

It can take 2 hr after your flight is scheduled to land to leave Customs.

Here's a simple map of CDG:

Just follow the clearly marked Gare SNCF signs upon arrival.

I think you'll make the 2:05, but it really depends on a number of factors, including whether you are planning to pick up tickets at the station (there's often a line - it moves fast, but you can sometimes be there for 15-20 minutes). If there's a later train, I'd take it.

If you get PREM tickets for the TGV, print them out at home, then you can just walk on to the train and avoid any lineups.

My last experience...I was at CDG T1 in November (US Air), plane landed at 10:05 AM, I had picked up luggage and was walking to the RER shuttle by 10:30.

Hi Linda & all, I also have the same problem as Linda did. i will go to paris in 21/6 by Air France landing at Terminal 2B in CDG airport. My arriving time would be 6:30a.m. and I need to catch a TGV to Aix-en-Pronvence. There's only 3 direct-route TGV to Aix each day. One is at 8:20am., the other is 1:30p.m. So, I would also like to know can I catch the one of 8:20a.m.? If not, I nee to wait for 5 hours for the train. Can any experts give some advice? (since I would like to buy the PREM for which is unchageble). Thanks you very much!

For a flight from Switzerland, there should be no problem collecting your luggage and getting to the station in time.

From 2B i suggest following the signs to 2D and then onward to the rail station. That way you can walk all the way to the train station. Otherwise the 2B signs will lead you to the shuttle which is slower. 2B can be crowded so dont hesitate to walk outside along the facade instead of inside. Heres a good map of terminal 2.

Isn't terminal 2B the one where they don't use a jetway but rather bus you from the plane to the terminal? If it is I doubt you'll make it. Our late arriving Delta flight took over 20 minutes from the time we deplaned until we reached the terminal and it was a long walk to immigration and baggage pick-up before we reached customs.
On our departing Air France flight, we were on the bus for 35 minutes!

They use jetways in all of the terminals -- or not. It just depends on the parking possibilities. I have recently been on flights to CDG which were supposed to use shuttle buses but which ended being hooked up to the terminal -- a pleasant surprise.

Oh boy, do I hope I get lucky and surprised next time..the last 5 trips we've been crammed on those buses!

The 35 minutes with doors closed, sitting right beside the plane and no air until an irate Frenchman pounded on the glass partition and told the driver to give us some ventilation will live long in memory!
