Hello:<BR>From Minerve Hotel to CDG airport for a family of 4, is it better to take a taxi or Parishuttle? <BR>How much do you think the cost for the taxi compared to Parishuttle to the airport.<BR>I appreciate the information.<BR><BR>

It does depend somewhat on the day and time you are arriving, but assuming it's morning and not Sunday, I imagine the costs will be about the same, the taxi might be a smidge cheaper. I think Parishuttle is 12 euro pp for that number and the taxi probably will be 40-50 euro. YOu can check out the Parishuttle price, though, I could be wrong

The cab I took would not hold 4 passanegers and barely held luggage for two.<BR><BR>One cab (one fare) is cheaper than the shuttle (Fare X4).

I will go with Parishuttle

I thought I'd use the shuttle service but it really is too much hassle. The taxi charges approx. 45 euro with baggage from CDG to the city center. And there are always available taxis.

If you are traveling light, you could take the RER B from St. Michel directly to CDG. I consider the Minerve Hotel (rue des Ecoles SE of the Place Maubert) as walking distance from the RER.

Parishuttle prices had gone up significantly last time I used them. And the shuttle went to so many places to pick up other riders (who weren't ready) that I thought I would miss my flight. I nearly did too.<BR><BR>With 4, I would take a taxi and just make sure that when you order one you get a larger one.

What Belinda says is true also. One stands a chance of sharing the same shuttle so time is wasted picking up other passengers. Missing your flight is possible if that's the case. With a taxi the hotel can reserve one for you overnight and it arrives on time and then goes directly on to the airport. If not for traffic it's direct-no stopping for others. Sorry, I don't believe in taking shuttles anymore.

We are a family of 4 and used a taxi to/from CDG with no problem. We did have to wait maybe 5-10 minutes for a larger cab, but it truly was no problem.
