Just returned from Sicily and the Amalfi coast in July. Taoromina was one of our favorite places. It is much likee the Amalfi coast but much less touristy and if you go in April it will be great! But if is a place for vacationers so it is a tourist site. We stayed at the VILLA DUCALE and loved it. The best view and great breakfast rooftop, overlooking the sea! This was our 4th trip to Italy & loved Sicily but it is slightly off the beaten path for Italy. THere is a lot to see there. We spent 12 days and could have spent more! Loved Siracusa & Cefalu and Erice and stayed in an incredible renovated monastary near Cefalu in Castelbuono which was a highlight, Check out on the web RELAIS SANTA ANASTASIA!!!!!!! YOu willlove it! Also don't miss the Valley of the Temples and Selilunte. and much more.....
