We can recommend the Best Western Metropole in Strasbourg. Short walk from railway station, clean pleasant room and friendly staff. Good breakfast too.

I enjoyed http://www.hotel-suisse.com - right behind the cathedral, near the tram line, awesome breakfast buffet.

I have been very pleased with the Ibis directly across from both the Strasbourg and Metz stations.

you don't give much to go on, but I love the Hotel de l'Europe in Strasbourg.

It's a super location near la Petite France, walkable to cathedral, etc., and I did walk to/from the rail station on the day I took a day trip to Nancy. It's a pedestrian area so no cars, but you can take a taxi to/from with luggage, I did. The taxi cost from the train station was quite minimal.

They had one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in that hotel, and I don't usually eat those. They are real nice there, also, I had a really nice corner room.
