sunday night dinner in Paris?

Almost every restaurant someone has suggested is closed on Sunday night - but that's the only night I will be there?
Where can I have a wonderful dinner on a Sunday night?
(prefer Left Bank or Isle St. Louis)

Most brasseries should be open.

Try Chez Fernand on Rue Christine...it's our favorite! If you like duck, theirs is excellent ..and the entree of filo, tomato, mozzarella, basil is very different from what you'd expect..a French Caprese!

check out the waiter who looks like Hugh Grant!!!!

The Bouillon Racine is open on Sundays, which is a moderate restaurant in St-Germain which I like a lot.

A long-time favorite on this board, Chez Maitre Paul, 12 rue Monsieur-le-Prince off Blvd St. Germaine, is open on Sunday evenings. The big draw is the most wonderful chicken in Jura wine and cream with morels or chicken in cream sauce with cheese. Both are among the best chicken dishes I've ever eaten. I expect if you search on Maitre Paul, you'll find lots of other posts recommending this place.

Chez Flottes near Place de la Concorde http://www.flottes.fr/presentation2.html

Chez Francis just opposite Alma Marceau metro stop - dining room has fabulous views of Eiffel Tower.

Near the Odeon Theater, we had a wonderful veal dinner at La Mediterranee. The wait staff were charming and doting. For some still unknown reason, one young man gave me his address/phone number with the bill.(He was about 20, I'm 55!). Perhaps I said something unintentional in my poor French? LOL! We've had a lot of laughs over that incident.

From my journal it appears it was a Sunday night. Nice ambience. Reserve a window table overlooking the Place.

IRA: If you haven't been there, the Mediterranee is a nice walk from the Bonaparte. Worth adding to your list.

We usually go to Bofinger near the Bastille on Sunday nights. This past trip we tried something different - Le Reminet in the 5th. Enjoyed it very much!

Just returned from Paris. Le Reminet was good and open Sunday night. Bofinger was the worst meal of my trip. Looked like may restaurants were open Sunday night on Ile St. Louis.

Another vote for Le Reminet, 3 rue des Grands-Degres, 5th, (just across the river from Notre Dame) 01-44-07-04-24 --soooo good. Charming and open on Sunday.
