Well, talking about night walks, the answer is always the same, it depends on where you are, also the part of the centre you are because the centre, in every place, is not so small!!!

Generally, for me, all these cities have the same level of safety, more or less. If you mean 10pm like night walk, you won't have any problem, if you mean 2am well, it's not so good anywhere walking around so late for a girl alone. It's not a question of "statistical crimes" but of the situation, the neighbourhood and so on.

My girlfriend is french and she spent 1 year in Rome, Turin is my city and talking about your trip, we have both considerated than 3 months in Venice are too much. I won't live 3 months in Venice, maybe just 2 weeks at the maximum but I would live 3 months in Rome or in Turin because you have a lot more things to do.

If you have more money and if you can afford a really central position go to Rome, otherwise go to Turin or do 1 month in every city
