Suite at Las Casas de la Juderia?

Has anyone had any experience with the two bedroom suite at Las Casas de la JUderia in Sevilla? I am traveling with 4 total people and it seems like a good deal: 240 euro rather than 300 euro for two doubles. However, I can't seem to find a good description of this accommodation. Any help?

Haven't stayed there myself...

Here's a limited description and three photos of the hotel:

The suite you are talking about has a little foyer with a very small sitting area, a hallway with one bathroom and 2 bedrooms at the end of the hallway, one of them with ensuite bathroom.

Thanks Olga - if you know, would you say that the two bedrooms in the suite are worse, equal to, or nicer than those found in regular doubles?

This suite is located in the oldest part of the hotel. The rooms in the newest part have a little nicer decor and much nicer bathrooms. The courtyards in this newer area are also very nice, but some people prefer to stay in the older central part because it's more convenient to the main reception, the piano bar and the breakfast room and restaurant.
The new rooms are the ones you can see on the new website.

However, if budget is a concern, I would take the suite. It's still a very nice room, conveniently located.

Hi, Olga,

How large (or small ) are the std rooms at Juderia? I ask because www.hotelclub.net doesn't have a choice for DeLuxe, or Jr. Suites.

Do you have a hint of what Concierge rooms mean?

The standard rooms are ok. If you don't like it you can have them show you a couple different ones when you arrive, they are pretty flexible. You can even request an upgrade to a Jr. suite and pay extra when you get there, if you really want to have a sitting area in the room.

When you mention concierge rooms, I suppose you saw that in a different hotel, because I don't know that Juderia has any rooms called that way.
In other hotels, they are usually rooms located in a special level with special privileges, like a club lounge with free snacks, press, special concierge service, and the like.

Thanks for responding, Olga.

Maybe "Concierge" is solely a denomination used by the booking system for the De Luxe rooms, since the rate is the same. De Luxe, I presume, are Jr. suites, as well as Superior are probably how the standard rooms are called.

Here are the rooms are rates shown by Travelocity:

SUPERIOR 2 TWIN BEDS
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 150.00

CONCIERGE 2 TWIN BEDS
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 167.00

DELUXE, 2 TWIN BEDS
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 167.00

SUPERIOR TRIPLE ROOM
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 203.00

SUPERIOR 2 TWIN BEDS
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 235.00

SUITE 2BEDRM DLX
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 240.00

DELUXE, 2 TWIN BEDS
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 262.00

SUITE 2BEDRM DLX
Policies Double Occupancy   Rate description unavailable EUR 346.00

Ok, now I see. You are right, it's just the terminology that Travelocity uses.

You are right, it looks as if Concierge and Deluxe is the same thing. In spanish it's called 'doble con salon' or Junior Suite. There are 2 types of these, at the same price, you can get a double room with a sitting area integrated in the same room or separate from the bedroom area. You can specify which one you prefer contacting the hotel directly -although this preference is a request, not guaranteed-.

Travelocity and other websites connected to GDS -Global Distribution Systems, one of the online wholesale agency that connects hotels and travel agencies worldwide- tend to show all the possible rates that a certain room type can have during every season in the year. That is why you get very different rates for the same type room.

For instance, the Superior room ranges from 150 -low season- to 235-peak season-. The Hotel really only charges the 235 rate in Holy Week and Feria of April, but the website actually would let you book it anytime fo the year. We have tried to straighten this out several times to no avail, they claim it is impossible to change. What we do, is everytime we get a booking with the wrong price for the season, we send a message back with the right price.

Anyway, not to confuse you any further. Those rates are just official rates, so you can get those booking on your own -if you want to avoid that sort of problem-. If not, just pick the lowest rate of the room category you prefer. If it is not available, it will tell you and you can pick the next one up.
