suggestion for this trip

Hi - in early stages of planning a trip to Spain. Thought we would start in Madrid go to Granada, then Seville and back via Granada to Madrid. Will have car once we leave Madrid. Suggestions? First time in Spain - we like to sight see, visit churches & sites of interest. Thanks

First thing I noticed was backtracking to Granada. Why do you visit Granada twice rather than heading back to Madrid via Cordoba?

Oops forgot that - will be there May 3-10th. From looking at a map program it didnt look like there was a good route from Cordoba. That is a thought tho. Maybe Madrid - Seville - Cordoba - Granada - Madrid?

Hi oneoftwo; We did this same trip in 13 days. You could 'run' thru this plan, but it may not be much fun. Consider, outside of Madrid you have Avila, Segovia and Toledo that are great places to visit. You could do Avila and Segovia on a full day 'bus' tour. Then a train to Toledo, which is close to Madrid. That leaves you two days for Madrid. From Seville, you could easly visit Cordoba. If this were me, with only seven days, I would spend four days in Madrid and then take the high speed train to Seville for the other three days. ENJOY Iris

P.S. This is a great resourse for Spain. www.maribelsguides.com/ My guess is that Maribel may comment on your itinerary. If she does't, it is because of your heading that does not mention Spain. E-mail her for her suggestions, as she is the resident expert. Iris

I agree with Iris with only 7 days. Madrid, with day trips to Segovia and Toledo, and Seville OR Granada--not all 3.
