Could not agree more. Traveled Cinque Terre and over to Tuscany with a gay male friend year before last; we're meeting up in Venice next June too.

Before I dragged my husband on the Seine cruise at night, I told him of the "old" local custom that one must kiss one's partner every time the boat passes under a bridge.
We both enjoyed the cruise, and he wasn't even mad when I 'fessed that I'd made up that "old" custom!
