Stuck @ CT....Please advise.

We have booked 3 nights stay in CT next month, from there we are heading towards Taormina, Sicily for 4 nights.
Can't find a right connection from Monterosso.
shortest flight from leaves at from Pisa @ 7 am, take 1.5 hours.
185 euros transfer from hotel to pisa airport.
please help.

Checked a random date in April (17th) and the first train from Monterosso leaves at 5:31am and arrives at Pisa airport at 7:43am. Looks like you need to take the transfer or a later flight or stay in Pisa the night before.

you can take the train from Monterosso to Pisa Airport with a train change in Pisa Centrale.
Monterosso - Pisa Centrale 1hr15min(faster train) or 2 hrs(regional train)
Pisa Centrale-Pisa Airport(5 min)

in this case you need to take the 17.25 flight to Catania

Is it true that you can fly domestic flight even if you reach half an hour before the flight on air one? I want to avoid wasting the day to reach Taormina.
May be I got to cancel my hotel bookings now without paying a penalty and than consider flying to Catania first than go north.

You might look at flights from Genoa. Volotea flies from Genoa to Palermo and Catania. Those departure times might work better.

Also look at flights to Trapani (just outside Palermo).

booked a flight from Pisa to Catania. booked train from monterosso to pisa and spending a night near pisa airport. that's the best option. airone flight departing @ 7am.
