Special restaurant in Sevilla
I've been searching here, as well as in my guidebooks and on other message boards. But have found little recent info re restaurants (as opposed to tapas bars) in Sevilla. My husband and I will be celebrating our anniversary there and are willing to splurge for a truly special meal.
We'd been planning on La Alqueria at the Hacienda Benazuza, but to our great disappointment, the menu is no longer the "greatest hits" from El Bulli. A scan I've seen of the new menu shows 12 courses of fairly ordinary-sounding dishes for 110 Euros each. (Plus wine and round-trip taxi fare.) I'm sure it's all beautifully executed and presented, but I'm thinking we might be as well or better off somewhere in Sevilla itself.
Have heard good things about Az-Zait, but would love to get more feedback. And/or any other suggestions. The food itself is most important to us, though we also appreciate good service and attractive surroundings.

maybe this will help, combined with google searches for the restaurants that appeal to you and inquiries on chowhound or egullet

Thank you for the links, zeppole! I think I'd seen the Michelin restaurants before, but the others are new to me and helpful.
I posted on Chowhound a while ago. But the Spain board doesn't have much activity and most of that is re northern Spain. Which is why I was hoping for additional feedback here!
Not sure whether Maribel was in Sevilla on her most recent trip, but if so, I thought she might have suggestions. There are plenty of other foodie Fodorites whose advice I would welcome as well.

I liked Enrique Becerra, but I ate there about 6 years ago so my info is not recent. But our favorite meals were actually in the tapas bars.
