Plans for a short trip to Spain
My father and I are going to spend a week and a half in Spain in our trek through Europe. We already know we will be spending most of time in the sourthern part of Spain, and that we are going to have paella in Andalucia and a true valencian orange. Does anyone have any other ideas on how my father and myself can experience small pieces of culture like that, or just things we have to see in general?

Your question is confusing. Do you just want to try real spanish food and want restaurant recommendations? If you mean experiences that aren't typically tourist, try starting out each morning wherever you are and just walking around exploring. You may not have a plan but you'll probably have an adventure. Just make sure you know the name of your hotel and address so you can get back. Have fun!

If you are going to be in Valencia, experience the paella there as well as the orange. In Andalucia, you must see the Alhambra in Granada, visit Sevilla for at least 3 days and spend some time in the pueblos blancos Ronda or Grazelema are good places. If you have time, take a day trip to Cordoba to visit the Mesquita. Eat tapas, drink sherry, see flamenco, walk through the neighborhoods and look at the beautiful courtyards, smell the jasmine. What time of the year will you be in Spain?
