Why don't you just go and ask them? The website does not say it has to be an EU citizen, in fact, the Thyssen specifically lists two different conditions for seniors vs. Spanish pensioners, and refers to the age criteria simply as for visitors with a valid passport or identity card.
Will you not go if you can't get a discount? Because otherwise, why not just go and see.

On a trip to London and Paris in 2014, a lady of a certain age in our party did get the senior discount. At some locations, we were asked politely if anyone in our party was entitled to a discount, and at others, we asked politely. It cannot hurt to ask.

>SENIOR ADMISSION DISCOUNT TICKETS IN EUROPE (SPAIN) DO NOT WORK FOR US CITIZENS.<
Wrong! As noted, it depends on the museum and the people working the desk. Personally, I have never been turned down by any museum that offers a senior discount. It does help if you happen to speak the language, or at least make some attempt.
