What, you expect someone to accept less than what he could get from an agency ? You are being unrealistic. The run doesn't take two hours !! Stand in the street behind the barricade like we used to do.

Bedar, Simply asking for a better price is not unrealistic. Surely at some point in your life you've bargained for something.
Apparently you didn't read my message thoroughly as this was for the Chupinazo which IS 2hrs NOT a run.
In addition to that I had foot surgery (not that I have to give you an explanation) and can not stand that long nor will risk the madhouse stepping on it to be brave.

No, we have never bargained for anything in Spain. I think you are very brave to even go to Pamplona with foot problems !! Hope all goes well for you there. Good luck !

Lilly7, I am planning our trip to Pamplona and Barcelona for 2016. When did you book your Pamplona hotel and balconies? I have been looking at hotels already but just don't want to miss the "perfect one" because I waited too long.

Jscarbary we started planning/booking 6-7mo in advance. Pamplona was our priority do to Festival de San Fermin which goes best hotels/restaurants are booked fast. We weren't planning to get a balcony for Chupinazo which is the opening ceremony for the festival but decided last minute.
Bedar, I had foot surgery almost a year ago (buninectomy) in which the break your toe and reconstruct it again. I can walk & exercise just fine by the time we go to Spain. I just don't want to risk any issues in such a big crowd. BTW, I was able to find a balcony next to the Adjuntamiento en Pamplona directly with an owner through Booking.com for $250. Can't beat that! It was done through Paypal so is secured. Homework/Research pays off. Thanks.
Currently we are just booking restaurants/activities and buying tkts for shows.

Congrats on your balcony. Should be a good position if next to the ayuntamiento. Just be VERY careful with your foot in that overwhelming, unruly crowd and with possible slippery muck on the pavements. Have fun. Know you will !
