Spain with a family of 4 (20 year old daughters) in Dec?
Just trying to book flights today wondered if I could get some advise on where to fly in and then where to fly out traveling from Atlanta, Ga?? Would I need to fly once I'm there and make it a 3 leg flight...beginning, middle, end? thanks

We really need to know your itinerary in order to determine your entry and exit cities. I'd definately nail down the itinerary prior to booking the flights. So many people don't do this and end up wasting time backtracking due to their flights.

Summertime, please , you have to provide more details. Where in Spain do you want to travel to? How would you feel if a person asked you "I'm going to the US, where should I fly to?"
Granted, Spain is not as big as US , but the question is as vague as my hypothetical one.

Will you be flying Delta since you're going out of ATL ? Delta flies to both Madrid and Barcelona, but I'd suggest that you fly into and out of Madrid and go south to Andalucia - Granada, Cordoba, and Seville - and take day trips from Madrid to Toledo and maybe Segovia. You only have 11 days for this trip, so best not to spread yourselves too thinly. People here like to tout the train, but we find it expensive even with our discounts as would you with 4 people. We always rent from AutoEurope and have never had any problems with them.

Just read the OP posting history and found another posting giving some more details.
Trip is Dec 12 - 23:
two daughters 18 and 20:
We are an active family so not much down time:
I can fill in hotels later :
I gave a link back to this thread to save duplication.

Agree - need a lot more info before we can help.
Are you doing north? South? (You don;t have time to do both.)
Interests?
Weather? The south will be somewhat warmer - although still not each weather - but more pleasant for touring. Madrid is on a high central plain and has a true winter - so I would only plan on indoors things there.

Spain is very diverse, but I think that looking further into the South/Andaucía is not a bad idea for December. Fabulous cities, villages, history, culture, landscapes and a fair chance for some nice and mild weather. In general laid-back atmosphere, great restaurants, cafés, bars and nightlife.
Have a look at Sevilla, the undisputed queen among the cities in the South: http://www.andalucia.com/cities/sevilla.htm

and Málaga by the coast. A couple of articles about one of my absolute favourite cities in Spain:

and of course Granada with the Alhambra: http://www.andalucia.com/cities/gran...hamhistory.htm

Ah thanks for all the advise. I will go back and do some more work on my end and have more of an Itinerary when I come back. I'm really so new that I didn't even have a starting place. I'll look at some of these suggestions and figure that out now.
