Spain and Italy 16 days
Hi everyone, I just booked my tickets to and from Europe, I did not know what cities i will be going to but I do know that I want to visit Spain and Italy(maybe more of spain) so i booked my flight to madrid and return out of Venice, I am going in last week of March and I will have exact 16 days to travel.
Keeping the weather in mind for last week of march to first 10 days of April -what part of Spain and Italy do you suggest I go to ? I haven't bought any travel guides yet, was thinking of 4 days for Madrid & Toledo > Fly to Palma for 2 days ?? maybe(20 Euro flight from Madrid ) > then Barcelona 3 days and then fly to Italy .
What do you guys think ? Is thre anything special happening at that time off year that I should know ?
Thanks in advance!

OK - you already have 4 cities in 16 days - but is this a full 16 or do we need to remove the day you fly out, the day you arrive and the day you depart - which will give you 13.5 days - and the half day will probably be jet lagged.
Assuming you want to visit at least one more place in italy that is 5 places in 13.5 days, minus at least 2 days of travel time - so 11.5 divided by 5 is just 2 days per city (and only 1 day in Madrid if you are spending a day in Toledo).
If this is what you want - a quck drive-by - that's fine. But if you want the chance to see more than 1 or 2 key sights you really need to think about how much time to spend in each city.

The last week of March is Holy Week, or Semana Santa. Easter Sunday is the 27th. Spain and Italy both celebrate Holy Week, so be prepared for high hotel prices and a busy schedule of celebrations.

hi , thanks to both of you for responding.
@nytraveler- I have full 16 days , I arrive on the 1st day at 6 AM and leave on the 17th day, hoping to save time by avoiding trains/buses and taking flights between cities.
Which top 4 places would u suggest ? Also is the southern part warm enough to go in the water at that time?

Southern Spain is warm enough to go in the water - and hotel pools will be open - by mid April. Before that don't know about the pools and the sea could be chilly - depending on what you are used to.
