South France and inter-racial travel?
Hi, last year some mentioned parts of Southern France may not be as friendly to an inter-racial family traveling as the metro areas. I wanted to check out a few villages above the Riviera. Are there certain spots to avoid?

Inter-racial couples are quite common in France. I don't think you'll have a problem. We saw many couples and no one seem to take much notice. In fact, Europe as a whole seems to be more comfortable with it, than the US.

I have never heard this mentioned before. Wherever you go in Paris, you will see inter-racial couples.
Just as in your question about going topless, I really think you are looking for problems where there will be none.

Another France myth that can be exploded.
I live in the South of France and have never seen any incidents of unfriendliness to inter-racial couples or families. There are many inter-racial French families !

One of my Provençal friends has an adopted black son and he is one of the most popular young man with the ladies and goes everywhere with his dates without incidence.
