We will be in Paris January 13th thru 21st. Does anyone know of this years (2006)dates. The information would be greatly appreciated!

They don't usually announce them this early (the Finance Minster's Office announces it, and I checked their website and there was no notice of them on there)-- sometimes not until a few days before they start. They usually change a little (I think cigalechanta may be referring to the past dates, in Jan 2005), but usually start between Jan 4th and the 15th and do go a long time, so I think you can be pretty certain they will be going on during your stay.

No, I got the dates for 2006 from the Skyteam site. In 1999 it was declared to be set dates from than on.

my son and I were in Paris in 2003, and were there for the soldes..really good shopping, but the crowds are insane, especially at the Galleries Lafayette
