Snacks on Aer Lingus
Does Aer Lingus have a self-service snack assortment at the back of the plane like British Airways? I am packing my own snacks, but was curious whether they had these snacks in addition to the regular meal services.

irishlass1,
I just got back from Ireland yesterday, flying Aer Lingus, and that certainly wasn't our experience.
On the flight over, they came around serving drinks and asked that if we wanted anything to drink with dinner (wine) to get it then. They served dinner, coffee, and the next time we saw them was to serve juice in the morning, an hour or so before landing in Shannon. The flight was only 5 1/2 hours.
On the return, just about the same thing. Just before landing, they served a dry, crustless sandwich. One half cheese, and the other half one thin slice of ham -- both had buttered bread. Dry - no mustard or mayo. Additionally, the sandwich came with a "digestive" cookie. Is that something like metamucil?
The return flight was about 6 1/2 hours.
aggiegirl, bring your own snacks.

Same experience as Budman - Our trip was Chicago to Dublin, then Shannon back to Chicago. One trip down the aisle offering a small softdrink (alchoholic beverages were an extra charge),then a very small cup of water on your meal plate. Nothing else offered till an hour before landing, then the sandwich with a cup of coffee or tea. 7.5 hour flight. No problem for me tho - helps me avoid the airplane restroom! I did have a chocolate bar to share with hubby for a snack tho, diet doesn't start back up till a week after vacation - I need the time to pamper myself in consolation for vacation being over!
