Smallish perched town to stay in overlooking the Riviera?
We were hoping to stay in a village above the Riviera with some fabulous sea views. We had one picked out in Roquebrune, but alas, it is all booked up already. Can anyone direct us to another spot or hotel? We'd love a terrace to sit out on - I think we're trying to relive the magic we experienced when we stayed in Positano a few years ago. Sitting out on our terrace with a glass of wine in the evening or cappucino in the morning, overlooking the sea... very romantic and perfect in every way!
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi nbbrown
Eze fits the bill perfectly IMO.
Depending on your budget, either:

or
http://www.hotel-terrasses-eze.com/p...-de-lhotel.cfm
You will need a car.
Hope this helps,
Andre

Saw Samantha Brown' Passport to Europe when she visited Eze. It was a lovely ancient town. She stayed at Chateau Eza.

St Paul de Vence is another option. It's not as close to the sea as Eze, but it's a lovely old perched village with lots of antique shops and views of the mountains and down to the sea.
Chateau Eza in Eze is expensive, but it has a fantastic view from the terrace along the coastline to Cap Ferrat and beyond.
