If you visit the museum in Mulhouse, I would suggest driving the extra 30 minutes and staying in Freiburg, which is a nice little city in the Black Forest. Nice cathedral, nice old buildings, large sutdent population and a great atmosphere. Judging from your itinerary, it would also be the perfect place to stop about half way. <BR>Incidentally, Freiburg has one of the few Michelin 5 Star restaurants in Germany! And it is supposed to be the warmest spot in the country (usually high 90s during the summer)...<BR>

i am going to villingen-schwenningen in a couple of weeks for a horse sale. does anyone know if it is realistic to stay in zurich and drive back and forth? or is there another town nearby someone would recommend?
