If you visit the museum in Mulhouse, I would suggest driving the extra 30 minutes and staying in Freiburg, which is a nice little city in the Black Forest. Nice cathedral, nice old buildings, large sutdent population and a great atmosphere. Judging from your itinerary, it would also be the perfect place to stop about half way. <BR>Incidentally, Freiburg has one of the few Michelin 5 Star restaurants in Germany! And it is supposed to be the warmest spot in the country (usually high 90‘s during the summer)...<BR>

i am going to villingen-schwenningen in a couple of weeks for a horse sale. does anyone know if it is realistic to stay in zurich and drive back and forth? or is there another town nearby someone would recommend?

loristoney, this is meant to be helpful, but you would be wise to post your own new post with your question, mentioning villingen-schwenningen in the title. By bringing up this 3 year old post with a pretty unrelated title you really aren't going to attract too many good answers.
