"Sleep in Italy" Rome apts?
I was thinking of renting an aprtment from them and someone said they had gotten some negative reviews on SlowTrav or Trip Advisor.
Anyone have experience renting from the? I'd like to be on/around Via Guilia near Campo dei Fiori and Navona.
Thanks for your help!

We used SleepInItaly about 4 yrs ago for an apt we rented in Rome near the Pantheon. We were very happy with the apt and service. Everything was as advertized including the warning about the 5 flights up the stairs. Only complaint is it rained the entire time in room so we couldn't use the private roof top patio.

Same here, we used them 2 yrs ago and using them again this summer.
The owner of our apt lived downstairs. I know from finding reviews of the apt we're getting this summer, that the owner there also lives in the building. If you like their apts but have concerns, might look for that type of arrangement.

Kathy -
We have this apartment booked (if it's the same one; about 90Euro/night) through sleepinitaly in a couple weeks. I will post back here and let you know how it was.
I thought I was going to sign off a former lurker until I tried to register and realized I already was! Gosh, must be 7 or 8 years since I posted something. I used to be a regular on the AOL boards, but Fodor's forums have just as good, if not better, info as AOL - plus there's the added benefit of not having to deal with AOL logistics and navigation. But I digress...
Happy to hear about everyone's positive experiences with sleepinitaly.

You should try doing on search on this site by searching on "Rome apartments" or type in "sleep in italy". There are dozens of reviews.
My husband used them in Jan.07 for a week. We rented an apt very close to Campo dei Fiori. Here's the link.

We loved the apt. There a long review of it on SlowTrav.

Sandinut---your review was so good, now it is booked!! It was my first choice and I'll get it if there is a cancellation---soudned terrific but I think Guilia Gold is a decdent 2nd choice to stay in the area....as long as the sleeper couch is ok!! Kathy
