Sleep in italy

I am trying to secure a place in Rome for 3 days in May and then 7 days in Sorrento for my husband, myself and our baby who will be 10 months. I have contacted rentalinrome.com, domusintl.com, and sleepinitaly.com and only rentalinrome has answered me. Does anyone have another idea? We'd like an apartment or B&B in Piazza Navona/pantheon/campo dei fiori area, and then a place with a beautiful view in Sorrento. I have read extensively many posts on this forum and am discouraged to not receive a reply from the last two places.

I've had great experiences with SleepinItaly. What did you send them or ask them? If you simply asked for a suggestion of where to stay, I'm sure they will ignore you. Or have you made specific requests about specific properties for specific times with them?

On the other hand, many places are very hesitant to reserve three nights in Rome in May -- until it looks like they might not have a week's rental.

One place to consider that does reserve for three nights easily is Palazza Olivia. It's a nice place in a great location about half way between Navona and Fiori.

Hello biscottibyg

Has it just been this week that you have tried to contact them? Perhaps with the Easter busy-ness, they just have been overwhelmed.

I have used sleepinitaly several times, and they were always very prompt with their replies.

Just keep trying.

Thank you for the recommendation. Yes, I did inquire about specific properties and added our information (as I did above). I am as surprised as you, as they come very highly recommended! Thanks again.

hi biscotti,

in rome we rented through www.rome-accom.com and were very happy with them and their service.

but they do get busy this time of year [lots of customers arriving plus staff taking holidays] and all agencies may take a bit of time to reply - but if they're not replying to you, chances are they're not replying to anyone else!

good luck,

regards, ann

Hi, Ann,
Thanks, I'm checking. I'm so worried we won't get a nice place for a decent price!

Swisshiker, I will keep trying sleepinitaly.com some more.

I used SleepinIatly as well and they were great -- hope it works out for you.

I also used Tim Peterson at Real Rome.

hit send too fast - I meant to say I was going to use Tim Peterson and worked with him but ended up using Sleep in Italy. Tim was great though.
