Skip Munich?

I have narrowded down my itinerary of Amsterdam/Brugge/Germany/possibly Austria to two variations - one which includes Munich and excludes Salzburg and Halstatt and one that excludes Munich and includes Salzburg and Halstatt. We cannot do open jaws airfare and the trip is in late May. What do you think? Or would you suggest a different itinerary altogether? We're committed to Amsterdam and Brugge. Thanks for your much appreciated opinions.
Amsterdam for 4 nights
Brugge for 2 nights
Cochem for 3 nights
Salzburg for 1 night and Halstatt for 2 nights OR Munich for 3 nights
Fussen for 2 nights
Rothenburg for 2 nights
Return to Amsterdam for 1 night

We loved Munich and saw lots of museums. You haven't said what your interests are. Let us know what you like...

Because of this year's Mozart anniversary Salzburg is even more crowded than usual--go to Munich! It's a very interesting and fun city.

We were in Munich for 2 nights, and left wishing we had stayed longer. Salzburg is also lovely, and 1 night would give you a good flavor of the city (make sure you go up to the Hohensalzburg fortress).

I think you're right. I just want to go everywhere! I'll save Salzburg and Halstatt for another trip or possibly to a daytrip to Salzburg from Munich. Thanks everyone!
