Sevilla- Triana Restaurant Recommendation

I would not look for restaurants directly on the river...most of the ones that I took note of along C. Betis fell into the "event venue" category. There are also some international "nightclubs" along that stretch. Can you expand your search to c/San Jacinto, a bustling artery, mostly pedestrian, leading off the San Isabel bridge?
Are you looking for views, rather than food?

Bodegas Dos de Mayo in Sevilla is excellent. Several fine places in this area, Eslava, La Azotea etc.
But I also have a favourite place in Calle Betis along the river. La Primera del Puente is a basic, friendly and traditional place where I've had excellent seafood tapas on several occasions. Also a riverside terrace for raciones and full meals, but I've never sat down here: http://azahar-sevilla.com/sevilletap...ra-del-puente/
Or you might try La Taberna del Pescador, in Calle Betis 1, close to the Triana/Isabel bridge: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...Andalucia.html

Bodegas Dos de Mayo is not on the river, or in Triana.
PuraTasca was the site of several excellent tasting menu dinners for me about a year ago. Very committed to what they serve; I would not miss this place. Not sure if they open for lunch:

It was one of the best dining experiences of our week in a rental apt in Sevilla; just writing this makes me long to return:

Anyone familiar with indoor, covered swimming pools open in winter season, in SEvilla?

kimhe - Thanks for your input. I always appreciate your advice
Ekscrunchy - I will definately check out your recommendation. I know what you mean about longing to return. I only planned this trip a few months ago at my daughter's request. She is enjoying a semester abroad at the University of Sevilla. I wasn't originally planning on visiting her as I was in Sevilla a few years ago, but as I starting remembering all the delicious food I ate there I starting getting excited. And of course I miss my daughter.

We only did tapas this time in Sevilla, including La Azotea in Santa Cruz. It's a restaurant gastro-bar with three locations, much better than the average tourist oriented restaurants that seem to dominate dining in Sevilla.
If you want some great dining experiences, then head down to Jerez, where are a number of great new gastronomic wine bars and restaurants to choose from.
ekscrunchy, I don't believe there are any heated indoor swimming pools in the heart of Sevilla, not even at Starwood's Hotel Alfonso XIII. If you want to stay on the edge of the city, then you can check Hotel Vértice Sevilla.

Robert - We are actually taking a daytrip to Jerez so if you have a lunch recommendation I would be happy to have it. Explore Seville is a site I've made very good use of. I also had my daughter go through it before she left for school.
