Sending a box home from France
Hi
Within the last year, there was a great thread here about sending a box home from Paris. While we were there, we visited a post office and checked the process out. We didn't really need to send anything so we skipped mailing a box home, but were glad we checked it out.
Now we are going to France for a week, then on to London. I would like to ship home anything that is France specific before we go to London.
Does anyone know if the mailing boxes are available in smaller cities and towns in France. Niort might be the largest town near us. We could easily buy the box anytime during our week, and mail it out on our final day, before heading to England.
It would be perfect to know if there is a PO near the Eurostar station in Paris, if anyone knows...

Coliposte is the name of the company that handles the packages (may be a subsidiary of the official Poste, don't know). A parcel is called a "colis" in French, that's the noun. When you go in a post office, the boxes are called "collissimo", at least that's what is printed on them.
I think that is a word the Poste coined for this service, and came from expediting a colis quickly. Anyway, they have a website, also, if you want to check it
http://www.colissimo.fr
so does Coliposte www.coliposte.net

Tuscanlifeedit--I remember that thread too, because I posted on it, lol! We sent several boxes home on our last trip. We sent one from Bayeux, and it made it to Oregon in exactly 7 days. Then a couple more from Paris to OR as well as CA and those took 7-10 days. We got the XL box, which was 12x8x18 and held quite a bit of stuff. At the time, it cost 38 euro. They give you the box and paperwork, and you can take it to your hotel/apt and fill it and then just return it. Very easy!
