SCNF tickets online?
Hi all!
I am trying to book my rail tickets from Paris to Avignon on July 28th today, and am running into some trouble using the SCNF.com site. Basically, I am able to select tickets, seats and times fine (98euro PREM for 2 people at...11h40m), but the checkout process only allows me to have the tickets shipped to a France address. I thought someone on these boards had mentioned the option to print their tickets out from this site - any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks!
Jamie

I booked tickets online for my recent trip to Paris through SNCF's English site at voyages-sncf.com.
There's an option to pick up tickets in France. When I got to Paris, I just went to an SNCF office (there are many in Paris) and picked up my ticket. You can also pick up pre-booked online tickets from the train station.

hi, question to moakb
o you book your sncf tickets by internet.? I used to do that on the phone calling a number of snfc and then picking them up in A sCNF OFFICE OR TRAIN STATION IN France showing same credit card I had used on the phone. Do you know if this is still possible.?
I am not speaking of Prem tickets but regular tickets with some discounts such us Seniors discount. Tks.

Jamie,
As Josephina says, don't select insurance when you order the tickets. That is what prevents you from printing them out. I had the same frustrating experience, until I was told the same thing. It works easily after that!
Graziella, last year I was able to order the tickets by internet without problem and then pick them up when I arrived in France. But it's so much easier to download the tickets and print them out if you are able to do that. Then you don't have to make an extra trip to pick the tickets up when you arrive.

Another advantage of printing tkts ahead is that you can print them several times and put the multiple copies in different parts of your luggage!! Since they are imprinted w/your name on them, no one else can use them or return them--even if you did lose them--and the back ups provide peace of mind.
