Scavi tour confirmed....giving CC is safe?

First of all...let me tell you how EXTREMELEY excited my husband and I are!
We received confirmation for the Scavi tour (Rome)! Yay!
So now it says we have to fax/email our CC#...is this safe and has anyone had problems with this?
I'm so glad...now we can plan the rest of our trip!

Thanks for all the great info!

Hi there

I got my confiramtion about 2 weeks ago and immediately sent of my cc details ( blind faith!) I just got back confirmation yesterday that they had charged my card - so don't panic if you hear nothing for a week or more ( like I did!!!) Charge is goen through on my card - so far no problems......

Hi S,

It is as safe as handing your CC to a waiter who then goes away for a few minutes.

Sammy- Congrats! We got our confirmation only a few weeks ago, so I know the elation you are feeling.

I like to use an actual credit card and not a debit card in these situations. More protection, I believe, in case anything goes wrong.

Have a great time.

Sammygirl and Phieaglefan,
Can you tell me when you requested the Scavi tour. I sent my request in about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard. Just wondering what the time lag is. We head to Rome on April 21st so I want to plan!
thanks.

Debwhite...I consider us LUCKY after reading the many posts about the tour.
We requested through email March 18, and just received confirmation this morning on March 28...I gave them a few options during our trip in the first week of May..and we're set for May 8th at 930am.
Good luck!

Fax it and don't worry. One tip....we took the tour in the dead of winter and it was very warm and humid in the excavations, so dress cool and don't wear heavy clothing.
