Santorini Hotel-Volcano's Villas

Sorry, another hotel question. Has anyone here stayed at this hotel? I checked trip advisor and it has glowing reviews, but just wanted to see if anyone here has feedback. It seems like it's in a great location really close to Oia town. Thanks!

We stayed there in June 2004. Found it very nice. It is only a short walk to Oia proper but away from the crowds. It has a parking lot and the bus stop is right out front. Great restaurant across the street called Santorini Mou.

All the rooms have a caldera view. I've made a temporary weblink to a few photos I took. These give you a better idea of the place and the views around it.

Nice pics, and you've confirmed that there is a driveway to the entrance. I couldn't remember for sure.

Question for BC-Canuck.

Am thinking about Volcanic villas. Sounds nice. How did you pick this place? Web surfing, or a recommendation from a web based travel agency such as George?

for happywanderer99

I found it on the web. I had a co-worker who visited Santorini prior and stayed at the Rocabella in Imerovigli. Nice place but a fair walk from anything. I wanted to stay away from the night party scene as well so chose Oia. There were a couple of hotels that fit the bill but VV responded first and I liked the price.

I'm sure there are other places equal or better (cost more too) so I may try someplace different next time.

bc canuck, thanks so much for the pictures, they're great! Did you stay in an apartment, studion or suite? The views look amazing!

We had a studio. The beds were in a loft and the main floor had separate bathroom, and kitchen/dining area. There was a small refrigerator, a two burner hotplate and a sink. In the photo that I posted of the front of the hotel, our room was the last door on the right. This is a view from the road side. The hotel rooms were on three levels. There is another level below what you see. All balconies overlook the caldera.

The views there were amazing from many places. The pics of the sunset were taken from right outside the front door.

These reviews make me question the owners of the hotel: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserR..._Cyclades.html
