Santorini Accommodation Oia Is it ok to split a 4 night stay up?

Hi all,

Just wondering if it would be a bad idea to split 4 nights accommodation between 2 different hotels in Santorini at the start of June this year (2 nights at each)?
Looking at staying in Oia the whole time & thought it might be nice to experience 2 different types of accommodation & I really want to experience staying in a cave style room.
Thanks

If it's something you want to do, who's to say no? It's your holiday, not ours.

I wouldn't do it as you can easily see all of Santorini from one location. Again, personal thing, I avoid lots of moves on vacation.

Oh, two places both in Oia. Well, why not? Move won't take long.

I would pick a nice hotel with typical architecture and enjoy your 4 night stay in Oia. I think that is the absolutely most beautiful spot on Santorini and maybe in the world. I could understand a move only if it were elsewhere on the island. Also with check out and check in you may not have a room for some hours..I just don't think it would be worth it.

If it is for budgetary reasons, then I would do it (e.g. if you want to stay in one of the really amazing Oia hotels but can only run to that kind of expense for a night or two). Otherwise, I'd just pick a caldera view place to stay and spend the 4 nights there. Oia is so small that moving from one part of it to another wouldn't really add anything IMO.

I wouldn't want to waste my time repacking, chrcking out of one hotel and having several hours before checking in to the other. It wastes a day.

I'm with the stay-in-one location group. Unless it's a necessity, I don't think it makes much sense to switch places for 4 days. It's a small enough place and you're better off finding one place and settling in than packing & moving. Find a place with a small balcony overlooking the caldera! But don't wait too long!
