Has anyone stayed here? What did you think of it?

The hotel is discussed on another thread:

I hope you find that helpful.

We are booked at the Santa Marina with breakfast and transfers. I notice that on the website there is now a much lower rate for room only. The difference is 19 euros.

If we chose room only, does anyone know if there are nearby restaurants for a light breakfast?

Does anyone know how much a taxi from the airport would cost?

Tahnks for any help.

hi babylene

The Santa Marina is a 10 minute walk from the shops and taverna's at Ornos and its beach. Plenty of places there for breakfast, lunch or dinner

Also, the hotel has a bus that provides free transportation to and from the airport. E-mail and confirm with them to be on the safe side.

apologies, babylene. I should also have said that taxi to town fron the airport is about 10 euro and I figure to the Santa Marina it will be much the same.

When we stayed at the Santa Marina, we walked down to Ornos for dinner twice. It's a lovely walk as the sun is setting over the bay.
For lunch, we ate from the cafe on the beach.
For breakfast, we ate at the hotel, which was not included and very expensive.
You could walk down for breakfast, or you could get some yogurt and croissants to keep in your room for breakfast, too. There might be a little fridge-you could ask.

When we arrived at the port by ferry, the Santa Marina had complimentary shuttle to the hotel. A man with a van was there holding a sign for the hotel, and we had notified them we were arriving on that boat.
You should see if they shuttle from the airport.

Also, don't settle on the first room they give you if you don't like it. I hardly EVER complain about a room, but the first one they gave us was awful. The second room was MUCH better.

Have a great trip!
