salerno - amalfi purchasing bus tickets

If I arrive by train after 6.00pm on a Sunday, where is it possible to buy a ticket for the bus from Salerno to Amalfi?

It was a few years ago I did this journey, but I just paid the driver.

I see you've probably got your answer elsewhere now?

They sell bus tickets at the newspaper kiosk in the railway station too.

Hope this helps ..

We arrived during the day (which doesn't help you) and bought our tickets at the "travel agency". FYI, the luggage goes underneath in the bin. We didn't know this and were quite embarrassed trying to drag our luggage on. Once in Amalfi we purchased a 3 day transit pass for 15,00 each which was excellent. Amalfi was our favourite spot and favourite hotel in Italy! Enjoy.

The 3-day SITA bus pass for the Amalfi Coast (Sorrento to Salerno including Ravello) now costs 18 Euros: its' called the UNICO COSTIERA 3-day ticket.

BUT, for just 2 Euros more (20 Euros), you can buy the UNICO CAMPANIA 3T tourist ticket, which gives all the benefits of the previous ticket, plus transportation by bus and commuter train (but NOT ferry or hydrofoil) throughout the Campania Region (plus Naples, Sorrento and Salerno city buses, Naples underground-subway system and funiculars, Circumvesuviana commuter rail, Naples airport bus, and more). This is useful if also visiting places like Pompei, Naples, Caserta and Paestum.

ALSO, you should look into the Campania Artecard with free transportation for 3 days (27 Euros), which ALSO gives you free entrance to two museums or archeological sites in the network.
