Royal Riviera, Vista Palace, or La Perouse Cote d'Azur??
We have found 3 places we like on the coast. We want a sea view, and preferably a balcony to sit out on at night.
Prices quoted in May -
1) Vista Palace - $224 Sea View Cap Martin, $316 Deluxe Sea View Cap Martin with Terrace
2) Royal Riviera - $335 Sea View (some note made in a book about being noisy due to train tracks behind hotel)
3) La Perouse - $285 - Superior Sea View, $405 - Deluxe Sea View - Pretty big difference - anyone know difference between Superior and Deluxe??
Would love to hear from anyone who has stayed at any of these hotels, and what there is to do in the town - walking distance from the hotel - shops, restaurants, etc.

Deluxe at the La Pérouse gets you a larger room with a full terrace; with superior it's generally a balcony, but one with room to sit on and enjoy your breakfast. We like this hotel quite a lot and, as I've posted to one of your other queries, are returning in September.
As for what there is to do from the La Pérouse, Vieux Nice, with the large open-air market and fine little (and big) churches, a museum that was once the home of a prominent family, many cafés and restaurants, and delicious shops. I could wander there for hours.
For the rest of Nice, consult any guidebook. It's filled to the brim with interesting places to see.
So that's one reason we like the La Pérouse: it's adjacent to all the glories of Nice, whether by foot or by car.

The text search would be quite helpful to you. Try typing La Perouse in the box & see what happens.
Here's just one

Thanks Underhill - would love name of that tea house. Can anyone recommend other restaurants? We'd like to eat casual most of the time, with maybe one nice meal out.
Also, are we OK to drive to all the places on our itinerary, or should we train to some of them instead?
