Rome to Sorrento by bus - question
We are planning to take one of the busses from Rome to Sorrento on Sunday, August 26. We've heard about Marozzi and Curreri Viaggi, but Marozzi looks like it will meet our needs. This bus leaves from the Tiburtina station (a rail station, I belive). We are staying not far from Termini - are there regular trains from there to Tiburtina? Does anyone have a link to the train schedule, or any other sage advice? Thanks so much...between planning our stay in Barcelona, a short drive through the Languedoc Region, a few days in Rome, and then several days in Sorrento - I'm feeling both hugely blessed and overwhelmed! We leave on Wed.

Tiburtina is a major transportation hub (bus/train/metro). It's a short hop on the metro from Termini.
The Rome city/metro busses are in one area just outside the station while other longer distance busses (Marozzi) are across the street. Ask inside where to catch the Marozzi. Tiburtina is a bit seedier station, more like Naples, so be aware of your luggage and belongings.
Be sure to hang onto your receipt for your bus tickets until you get off the bus. Our driver tried to say we didn't pay for everyone and wanted us to pay again. Drinks and snacks were allowed on the bus.
I think the weekend Marozzi schedule is different than during the week. I can't log onto the website from home or work so perhaps Steve can copy the schedule here.
