Rome to Naples airport???

We are planning on taking a train from Rome to Naples and then have to go to the airport to meet up w/a group. What is the best way to get from the Naples train station to the airport and how long would it take? Thank your for your help!!

Hi mvs,

I asked a very similar question a few weeks ago. I think it depends on where you are headed after.

We are having a driver pick us up at the Naples airport and take us to our Amalfi hotel, so now the driver is first picking us up at the Naples train station and taking us to meet the others at the airport.

Hope this helps.
Sally

I stayed in a hotel near the Naples train station last year. There were always lots of taxis out front of the station. We took a taxi to the airport and the fare seemed quite reasonable and it did not take that long.

The airport is not far from the train station at all. You can take a city bus directly to the airport but a taxi would not be expensive either. It's about a 10 minute drive.

There have been a lot of threads on this very question....

I go between the Naples train station and Capodichino Airport frequently. You can take the convenient "Alibus" that leaves from Piazza Garibaldi (outside, in front of the Naples train station) for 2 euros. It leaves every 30 minutes for the airport and vice versa. Also, there is the # 3S bus that leaves from in front of the McDonalds (it will be to your R as you exit the Naples train station out into Piazza Garibaldi). The tickets cost 3 euros to the airport.
