Rome hotels - mid-range

Hi all,
Has anyone had experience with these hotels?
I am trying to get as close to 100 Euros as I can but still be in the Spanish Steps area and have a clean and comfortable place for my husband and I to crash after 2 jam-packed days in Rome. Any other ideas are welcome!
Hotel Pavia
Hotel Rubino
Hotel San Carlo - sounds great but everyone seems to stay in the Annex, and I'm not keen on the walk up.

A few people here have stayed at San Carlo. I haven't heard of the other two hotels you mention.

I just contaced the hotel pavia and got a very reasonable response as far as price is concerned. I am hoping to hear from some people that have stayed there.

Check tripadvisor for some comments. ALso do a text search here on each hotel name.
