Hotels Near Termini in Rome

We have a flight early in the morning from Rome on June 2nd. We will be in Florence for the entire week before. I was thinking of taking the train to Rome on the night of the 1st so we can get to the airport with a little more ease on the morning of the 2nd. Does anyone have an idea of a good hotel near the Termini in Rome? I have stayed at the Nord Nuova before and it is a little pricey... does anyone have any cheaper or just different suggestions? I just want to be within a comfortable walking distance. Thanks in advance.

The Boscolo Exedra is right near Termini--we'll be staying there later this year. Reviews of it are great, it is a bit pricey, but I got relatively good rates through Orbitz.

Hotel Kennedy, about 3 blocks away from Termini (5 min walk) is reasonably priced and the rooms have been renovated a couple of years ago. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The website is:

The Hotel Continental was very nice and clean, and only 3 - 4 blocks away from the station.
