Rome Hotel with A/C for 3

We have no choice but visit Italy in summer. The plan is currently the end of June, before heading down to Capri, Sorrento and the Amalfi coast.

While I've been keeping tabs of the hotel recommendations on this board, I would love it if I could gather the names of several hotels that I could choose from that: (1) accommodates 3 persons; (2) has air conditioning; (3) is in a lively area; and (4) does not cost over $300 a day.

Also, any suggestions on discount websites for these hotels would be appreciated.

I realize that Rome was in the title, but not in the body of the text, so before I get any flack (!) my message was concentrating on Rome, but recommendations in Capri, Sorrento & the Amalfi Coast would also be appreciated, but in that case, add a pool to the wish list!

Try Due Torri, near Piazza Navonna. Stayed here in April 2003 with great success. I think a triple cost us 240 euro at that time. Not positive about the a/c, though. Have fun.

Wouldn't call the area around the Vatican "lively" but we stayed in an apartment having 2 separate bedrooms, sleeps 5. It was on Properzio, easy walking distance to St. Peter's. We paid 150 Euros per night. The Air Conditioning is excellent! While others were suffering last June, we were more than comfortable. Do a google search for "independent apartment properzio, rome" Have a wonderful trip.

Hotel Parlamento, off Via Del Corso, has an excellent AC in their rooms. Frommers has a good review about this place.
I was there last summer with my daughter and grandson, we had a triple room for less than 160 Euros..
