Rome Hotel
#21
mim - there is a great trattoria just 50 metres from the front door of the hotel, called `"Trattoria vongole e farina" - weird name I know - it means clams and flour. great pizzas from their wood oven, and a nice choice of roman staples - fiori fritti, [deep-fried stuffed courgette plowers] carciofi alla romana, [artichokes] saltimbocca [veal with prosciutto and sage] etc plus lots of fish - the scampi risotto was v good as was the spaghetti alla vongole. our only complaint would be that the house wine was their only wine offered and it wasn't great, though the white was better than the red.
There are other options in the area, but sadly I have no names - however if you look on my trip report, you'll see directions to them. there were some other options in the area - if you put the hotel into google maps, and then put restaurants in the search box, it'll come up with quite a few, AND some reviews that may help.
