rome for a family of 5

any recommendations for a family with 3 children. it seems that every hotel other than u.s. won't let you stay with that many in one room. we want to be very centrally located in rome. any suggestions? thanks for any help you can give.

Try the convents and monasteries in Rome. They are safe, very inexpensive and welcome families. Many offer lodging and meals for a fraction of the cost of a hotel and are usually located in the best locations.

Hope you have a wonderful time.

Liz

Hi Colleen: You don't say how long you'll be in Rome. If it's a week you can rent an apartment. They usually rent full weeks at a time, but some say two or three night minimum. Just search apartments in Rome.We have rented from www.initaly.com and were very happy with them.

Hi Colleen,
The Hotel Villa delle Rose enjoys a reputation as possibly the most kid-friendly hotel in Rome. They have a loft room which will very comfortably sleep 5. They're located at 5 via Vicenza, and their ph# is 06.44.1788

Buon Viaggio,
BC

Colleen-I rented an apartment with 2 bedrooms for 5 nights from www.romesweethome.com We paid around 200 Euro for 4 adults, and were located less than a block from Trevi Fountain. They have locations all over Rome in several price ranges. It makes it easy for cheap breakfasts and snacks, not to mention how much nicer it is to unwind after a long day in a living room, not a hotel room.

hi,
you can try the hotel m'edaglie. it's an apartment complex, clean and about a 10 minute walk from the vatican. It is nice because you can cook there and the apartments are large.
