Thank you all for the excellent information and the great tips.
Adrienne - I don't have to take the tablet, but I can see it better than the phone. I prefer it bc it's so much easier to read. It's a "getting older" thing. lol No one has mentioned the size of the bags. My tablet is the 7" Nexus, so maybe it would fit.

>>>I will be using my Roma Pass enter this for "free". How do I reserve in advance using the Roma pass?<<<
You have to call and reserve a time and tell them you are using the pass. You will still have to retrieve a ticket and check your stuff.

Regarding booking using Roma Pass, we intend to buy the Roma Pass once we arrive in Rome, in May 1st week. And we intend to use the Roma Pass for the Borghese gallery.
So, if I call them now and ask them to book for us, will they simply do it or ask for a proof that we already have the Roma Pass?

RajatMakar,
Yes, you just ring them up, reserve your time, mention the Romapass, and they will give you your reservation. I used Skype for the call as it was less expensive than using my mobile phone plan.
Enjoy! The Borghese is one of my favorite galleries. The gardens are lovely, too. If you arrive by cab, it is a long walk up a hill through the entrance gate, so allow extra time for a nice walk.

No it's not. It's a short walk along a flat path if the cab drops you at the Via Pinciana gate. This Google street view image shows this entrance - the gallery is the large white building in the background.

I called up Borghese Gallery (+39 06 32810) just now and made our booking for May. We will be using Roma Pass for this site.
The booking experience was quite easy as the Booking lady spoke very clear english and understood my Indian accent even better
She requested us to reach 40 mins before the scheduled time.
