Rome: Area near Cavour Metro..Safe?
I'm looking a couple of apartments in the Monti area near the Cavour Metro stop. I was hoping someone would have some insight into this area.
What is the nieghborhood like?
Safe for two women alone?

We just returned on the 11th, and we loved the area on Via Urbana. We stayed at the Hotel Canova, and it was a good value for the money.
Pleasant staff, good location and the rooms were nice for the price we paid.
What I liked the best, was when we walked down the street from the hotel to the Via Cavour Metro stop, all the little shops that were being worked in, welder, custom shirt manufacturer, local grocery and deli stores, churches, etc.
It was a very safe area, we were two ladies 65 and 78.
I also saw 2 young ladies, with their luggage, being left into an apartment, wish I had the name, it looked like a neat place
