Rome apartment for 10 people or 2 units in a building?

Hello,
I have checked couple of websites and found the max. people in an apt is only for 8. There will be total 10 of us traveling in Dec.2006 for 6 nights including Christmas.
Is there a 2-unit apartment in a particular building? perhaps we need to rent two units or can we squeeze in 2 more people in a apartment for 8?
Would like to stay near Campo D Fiore, Pantheon, Trastrevere area.
Anyone with huge family experienced renting a 2-unit apartment? Would like to stay together in one place. Budget is $200-300/night.
Thanks in advance.

The Palazzo Olivia is an entire complex of apartments near the Piazza Navona:

I'm not sure that your budget of $200-300 per night is realistic for 10 people.

I agree that this sounds like a tough budget. I don't think 10 could even stay in a convent for that price.

You may have to venture a bit off the beaten path to stay within your budget.

Or you could get a 10-bed dorm room in a hostel. This wouldn't be so bad if you chose a place with a kitchen and common area. Or you could even consider getting a 6-bed room and a 4-bed room, or some other permutation.

This hostel option would run about 20 Euros per person per night. The less convenient YHA hostel in Rome does charge only half-price for children, though.

Maybe a small B&B would be willing to book the entire place for your family. See www.b-b.rm.it/ .
