reviews on hotel in Rome and Florence?

Anyone stay at the Tourist HOuse Ghiberti in Florence or the Hotel Davanzati? Any thoughts on the Hotel Alimandi in Rome?

You can also read reviews at venere.com but they do not IMO offer the best prices.

I have walked by the Davanzati many times and the location is very close to everything, on a pedestrian only street.

Their rates, however, are significantly higher than the Ghilberi, which BTW gets rave reviews.

I stayed at the Tourist House Ghiberti last August. I've posted on it several times here - it is a real gem!! We couldn't have been happier! I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Klio, I'll be back again for a couple nights to the "THG" next week - this will be my second stay there, very much looking forward to my visit with them.
