Rome/Florence hotels
Hello,
I have spent some time here looking for advice on my upcoming honeymoon to Italy (Rome-Florence-Tuscany). It's been great! Most of the hotel recommendations I've seen have been pretty steep, though. I wonder if anyone has lovely hotels (or b&bs/pensiones) in Rome and Florence to recommend around 100 Euros? Thanks!

Hi hmoon,
You might wish to consider the B&B Peterson, www.bedinflorence.it
It is very basic accomodations, but it is clean, well maintained, has AC and is not far from the train station in a safe, residential neighborhood. About 65E dbl ensuite.

Eurocheapo.com has many rated 2 star, 1 star, B&B and pensiones - all in the 100Euro range. All hotels listed have been personally visited by the staff of the website. You can even sort by neighborhood. Find some that interest you and come back here.

Hi hmoongal,
My family stayed at the following hotel for 4 nights in December. The view of the Duomo was magical. We paid around 110 Euros for a quad and that included coffee and croissants.
The hotel is in a building on the right side of the piazza across from the batistry.Could not recommend it enough but the hotel is on the 4th floor so there are stairs to climb.

We are staying at Tourist House Ghilberti www.touristhouseghiberti.com in April. Highly recommended on this site. We are paying 150 euro per night. Its right near the Duomo...not sure about the parking.
Goo luck.
