Restaurants in Nice

My husband and I will be spending 4 nights in Nice in early June and would like some recommendations as to where to eat. We do not want Michelin star restaurants but would like good food - not over the top prices! is that possible, I understand the old city is very touristy. Look forward to your comments thank you

Hi Brijam - For traditional Nicoise dishes at fair prices we like Acchiardo on rue Droite in Old Town. For lunch this June we will try Cafe Restaurant de la Bourse in Place Saint Francois. Very small and always full. It was recommended to us but we could never get in. This time we will go before 1 p.m. Approx. 14 euros for three courses and includes a Kir.

Chat Blanc Chat Noir is in Old Town, a few streets on from Cours Salyea. We returned there a second time. Nicely prepared, creative dishes.
La Cantine de Lulu serves traditional
Nicoise cuisine, out of the tourist packed area. Small, chef owned. Fun.
Avoid the Rue France pedestrian way places, touristy.
Make sure you have a pissaldiere, a Nice specialty like a pizza but with anchovies and cartelized onions, individual sizes.

We also enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Flaveur and dinner at Le Vivier Bistro(seafood bistro).
We found two of these restaurants in this New York Times article:

We really enjoyed La Maison de Marie in Nice - it is not in the old town but not too far from there. It has a lovely outdoor patio if you will be there in warm weather. The other diners seemed to mostly be well-heeled French but we could communicate OK in english.
